Urinary Track Infections

So many suffer from infections of the urinary tract and holistically they are easy to cure. Women seem to suffer more than men. Many infections are caused simply by not drinking enough water or clear fluids.
Some of the most chronic bladder and kidney infections in my practice are found in patients who are school teachers. They seldom drink water and they wait as long as they can before eliminating. Many say they hurriedly use the restroom and rarely fully empty there bladder. This causes bacteria to build up in the badder and urethra and develops infection, swelling and painful urination. Then you really dread using the restroom so you hold it in even more.
A good home remedy for this is to make a tea from parsley and corn silk and add lemon to this and drink 3-6 cups of this tea throughout the day. Within 2-4 hours you get relief.
If you have chronic U.T.I’s Avoid coffee, beer, wine, alcohol, soda, sweet juices, power drinks, sports drinks, sugars and just drink clear water throughout the day, or add lemon for flavor.
Some have never had a urinary tract infection until they took multiple doses of antibiotics. And these can reek havoc in the intestinal flora in the body.
This can cause excess yeast in the bladder and the urine will smell strong and be cloudy. So you need to take at least 10 billion particles of pro biotic a day and go on a Candida diet along with an herbal urinary tract formula that works directly on the bad flora in the body.
Americans seem to be addicted to power drinks and sports drinks. Energy drinks stimulate the adrenals which are behind the kidneys. This gives you a false feeling of energy and it can take its toll on the kidneys.
Sports drinks are loaded with hard salts that build up in the chambers of the kidneys and encourage stone growth. Ive seen teens and young adults with kidney stones and I ask them how many sports drinks they pound down a day–the answer is quite alarming!
People who push themselves to the physical limits will generally get a U.T.I. (urinary tract infection) because of excess stress. This changes the PH in the urine to that of high acid.
It’s a sign your body is telling you to slow down and get some rest.
I found in my practice every infertile woman has high acid urine and we check the PH in the vaginal fluid as well and the acid is so high it most likely burns up the sperm on impact. It seems chronic urinary track infection and infertility in some women go hand in hand.
In these cases rest and lifestyle changes are in order along with plenty of rest and clear fluids. Along with a vegetarian diet with lots of greens or colorful vegetables.
